Status notes
What works where — observed, dated, and nothing more
Platform features change faster than guides can be rewritten. Each note below records one surface, what BiliGuide editors observed and when, what we deliberately did not verify, and when we'll recheck. The current official interface is always the source of truth.
Recheck cadence: every note is re-reviewed within 30 days or marked stale. Looking for what changed over time? See the dated international-expansion changelog.
International app — language support Promoted, not universal
Observed: The public Google Play listing for Bilibili's international app promotes expanded language support for international viewers (observed 2026-08-26).
Not verified: We did not verify that every video, account or region receives translated interfaces, titles or subtitles. Treat language features as per-video and per-account.
AI dubbing Promoted; per-video availability varies
Observed: The same international app listing promotes AI dubbing as a feature for some content (observed 2026-08-26).
Not verified: Whether any specific video carries AI dubbing. Nothing on BiliGuide should be read as a promise of dubbed or subtitled audio.
Main website (bilibili.com) Chinese-first
Observed: The main site's interface and community content remain Chinese-first; we observed no site-wide English interface as of 2026-08-26.
Not verified: Future interface changes. Browser page translation remains the practical approach for menus and titles on the main site.
bilibili.tv Separate service, licensed catalog
Observed: bilibili.tv operates as a separate international streaming service focused on licensed shows and anime, primarily for Southeast Asian markets (observed 2026-08-22). It is not a mirror of the main site's creator catalog.
Not verified: Which specific titles are licensed in which regions — that changes with each licensing window.
Creator Charging (充电) Optional; varies by account and creator
Observed: Charging is an optional creator-support service. Its availability, forms and current terms depend on the official panel shown to each account, per Bilibili's Charging Service Agreement (effective 2025-04-25).
Not verified: Which accounts, regions or creators can currently offer or use each Charging form. Check the current official panel.
English-language creator site Reported in press; not verified live
Observed: August 2026 news reports (Engadget, Semafor via Yahoo Tech, Tubefilter) described planned English-language upload options aimed at international creators (reported 2026-08-19/20).
Not verified: A live English creator upload site. This note tracks an announcement, not a shipped product.
