How to Find an Official Bilibili Creator (And Avoid Impostors)

Every week someone follows a fake channel, quotes a dead link, or recommends “the biggest Bilibili creators” from a list nobody audited. Creator discovery on a platform whose names are unique strings — symbols, digits, mixed scripts — needs a method, not vibes.

Why follower counts mislead

Popularity measures scale, not fit. For international viewers the question isn’t “who has the most followers” but “can I follow this person at my level?” — a completely different filter. A 200k-follower visual storyteller may serve you far better than a 20M-follower gaming icon whose humor runs entirely on wordplay.

The verification checklist

We run every profile on this site through four gates:

1. Official space URL. A creator’s home is space.bilibili.com/{uid}. Anything else — aggregator pages, re-uploads — is secondhand.
2. Exact display-name match. Search results mix lookalikes. Names include punctuation and digits (-LKs-, 瓶子君152) that matter. Copy-paste, don’t retype.
3. Badge cross-check. Where applicable, we confirm identity markers visible on public search results — for our initial pool, the official 2025 Top 100 Creator badge.
4. Video-level spot-check. Before recommending a specific starter video, verify its live URL, title and duration directly. Channels change; videos get deleted.

Red flags

• Accounts whose recent uploads don’t match the creator’s known content
• Re-upload accounts with original videos’ titles intact but different channel names
• “Top 10 Bilibili channels” lists with no verification dates or methods
• Links that go through redirectors instead of space.bilibili.com
